How My Approach Is Different
Other photographers just show up to take photos. My focus is your experience first—capturing your proposal candidly, without turning it into a performance. I do the heavy lifting so you can be fully present with your partner, not worried about where to stand, the light, or how it will all unfold.

01. Let's Connect
Fill out my inquiry form and I will be in contact with you so we can start getting to know each other. We’ll hop on a call to talk through your vision, what your partner would love, and what you want this day to feel like.
02. Lock It In
If we’re a good fit, the next step is to sign a contract and pay a 50% non-refundable retainer. This secures your date and ensures you can head into your proposal with confidence, knowing you have planning support and documentation taken care of.
03. Plan The Details
We’ll stay in touch however works best for you—email, text, or phone—with as much communication as you need to feel confident and excited. I’ll scout the location for privacy, good light, and natural flow, and check if any permits are needed. I’ll send photo and video walk-throughs of the spot, showing exactly where you’ll stand, how you’ll walk in, and where I’ll be to keep it candid.
04. The Final Countdown
48 hours before your proposal, we’ll confirm timing, location, and any final details. This final touchpoint ensures you feel confident, calm, and ready to focus on your partner.
05. The Surprise Proposal
I’ll arrive early and discreetly get into position so you can take a breath and let the moment unfold naturally. When you drop to one knee, they’ll be in total shock and so glad you had it captured. I promise, you get all the credit for planning this moment. I’m just here to help it flow and document the tears, laughter, and joy honestly. After the “yes,” we’ll finish with just-engaged portraits while you’re both still glowing.
06. Gallery Delivery
Your full gallery will be delivered within 1–2 weeks while the excitement is still fresh. Make it a date night with your partner and let it all come back to you. (Warning: crying, laughing, and everything in between may occur)

Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays are the most popular, giving you the weekend to celebrate. I typically reserve Saturdays for weddings, but sometimes I have one open—reach out to check your date.
Take a moment to reflect on what feels right—a spot that’s part of your story, somewhere they love, a destination you've dreamed of, or a place that feels like you both. If you’re not sure, that’s okay. We can always brainstorm on the phone to find the perfect spot together.
You’ll receive a minimum of 150+ edited images in color and black & white, plus a roll of 35mm film scanned and included in your gallery. You’ll receive a complete gallery, as I believe in delivering all your special memories without holding anything back.
Absolutely. Love is love, and I am honored to document proposals for all couples.
Absolutely. It can be just the two of you, or your people can be there in on it. You can even plan a surprise engagement party right after the “yes.” No matter the plans, I’ll capture every hug, tear, and smile around.
Most people book 1–2 months ahead so we have time to plan intentionally, but last-minute proposals are possible if I’m available. If you’re even thinking about proposing, reach out, and we’ll figure out the timing together.
I’m based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but I’m happy to travel wherever your love takes us! Travel within two hours of Minneapolis is included in all services. For locations beyond that, I offer tiered flat-rate travel fees based on your destination, keeping things simple and stress-free. Inquire with me for more info.
