When you book both photo and video, I bring in a trusted expert associate—a skilled photographer with years of wedding experience. They're trained in my style—documentary, editorial, and candid—so their work and attitude meshes with mine. This isn’t the same as a second photographer; they’re someone I’d trust to photograph my own wedding independently.

While I focus on capturing your day on speciality Super 8 film, my expert associate captures digital photos of key moments, like your first look or your ceremony kiss. That way vintage video and modern photo are captured at the exact same time. They step in when I’m loading or unloading film, we work in sync to make sure nothing is missed.

Your main focus is always with me, and my associate works quietly but confidently to support the vision. Every expert associate is up to my very high standards. 

I tailor my films to reflect your unique story and priorities. Typically, I capture key moments such as the ceremony, vows, speeches, and candid interactions. During our phone call, we discuss your vision and what matters most to you. If you have specific requests or moments that are particularly important to you, let's discuss them, and I'll work with you to make sure your vision comes to life.

Yes! I  prioritize a true home-movie like experience with all the "outtakes" because those memories are just as important. You will receive the uncut "RAW" Super 8 video alongside your feature film edit through your digital gallery. The Super 8 Raw footage undergoes processing, digitization, and color grading to ensure optimal quality. I take the extra step to archive your physical negatives for safekeeping. 

I specialize in analog motion picture film, but I include digitized camcorder footage to create a hybrid experience. I've found old camcorders to be the laid back, personality filled, perfect medium for a comprehensive home movie. There's no worries about things getting documented because of the time limitations on a roll of super 8 film. I also have experience documenting video with my 4k digital camera, this is custom quoted and not a common offering.

Your full-length film (15-20 minutes) will be ready 5-9 months after your wedding. The process includes sending your film to a specialty motion picture lab for development and digitization, which usually takes about 2 months. Then your home movie goes through meticulous editing to ensure a custom, unique final video.

Super 8 is traditionally a silent film format, so it doesn’t capture audio. To enhance your wedding film, I use modern equipment to record digital audio throughout the day—like mic'ing you up for your ceremony, first look, or private vows. These emotional moments, spoken words, and ambient sounds are seamlessly woven into your home movie, creating a more immersive and meaningful story.

Film inherently carries some risks, which is why I bring along with me a camcorder to capture everything on digital and film. I take extra precautions by entrusting your footage to trusted labs, professionally servicing my equipment, and always having a backup Super 8 camera on hand.
