When the vibe is vinyl and vintage…I’M IN!
This was a fun engagement session at an aesthetically pleasing, old-school record shop in Minneapolis. You know….the kind of place that smells like music history and good memories.
These two wanted something that was interactive and fun—and Hymies Records absolutely delivered. From flipping through records to dancing between stacks, the session felt more like a date than a photoshoot. That’s always the goal.
As of July 2025, I’m disheartened to share that after 40 years serving the Minneapolis community on East Lake Street, Hymie’s has officially just closed its doors. This session now feels even more special, capturing a little slice of local history before it was gone.
Minneapolis folks, we lost a real one. I’m grateful to have bought vinyl and documented stories here.
