There’s something special about a wedding day that brings together family, friends, and loved ones to celebrate the union of two people. Dria and Jame’s festivities began the night before with their loved ones in from out of town. Everyone celebrated the coming wedding with catered Chipotle. The night ended with a fierce game of Uno and Cards Against Humanity that ended in lots of laughs.
The next day started off with a breakfast amongst friends, everyone in for a fun-filled day. With everyone energized and excited, Dria and James got ready for their big day. With Dria upstairs and James downstairs, the excitement grew as they got ready for their big moment.
Once everyone was ready, we made our way to the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Pow Wow Arena, which is next to a beautiful lake. Dria and James shared a private first look together next to the lake. When they finally saw each other, their eyes lit up with joy and love. It was a moment that they would never forget, encapsulating the love and emotion of the day. Just as the ceremony was about to begin, the gods blessed them with rain, and they relocated inside the tent. However, nothing could dampen the spirits of the bride and groom, and they went with the flow.
After the ceremony, it was time to eat. The reception was equally fun and unique. Instead of a cake, they opted for their favorite pie from Betties Pies. The food truck, along with homemade dishes from family, ensured that everyone was well-fed and happy. To end the night on a sweet note, someone was going to get pied in the face. As the night was winding down, a vote was taken. With lots of laughs and cheers, Dria was ultimately the winner and ended up getting covered in delicious Blueberry pie.
