What Is Polaroid Wedding Photography?
Polaroid wedding photography is exactly what it sounds like—instant film photos, taken during your wedding, and handed to you on the spot. I use the Polaroid I-2, the sharpest modern Polaroid has ever made, to give you true instant film in its best form.
These aren’t just random snapshots—they’re artful, well-lit, documentary-style moments that complement your hybrid digital and film coverage. A mix of candid, in-between scenes and a few unexpected highlights. I bring back the allure and nostalgia of instant film. And since it’s your wedding day, you bet we’re talking more than just eight shots from a single pack…

Why I Still Shoot Polaroids (Not Instax)
I get this question all the time. Instax is fun—it’s clean, easy, and super consistent. But honestly? It just doesn’t feel the same.
I shoot Super 8 because I’m drawn to the real, vintage stuff. That ‘60s energy. The grain, the texture, the charm of film that doesn’t try to be perfect. Polaroid has that same soul.
The Polaroid colors lean nostalgic in the best way. They remind me of the photos I used to flip through at my grandparents’ house—those slightly off-color prints that somehow felt more real because of it. Perfectly imperfect.

Why Choose the Polaroid Experience for your Wedding
I offer Polaroid photography as an separate add-on or its included in some packages. (If you like analog then you’ll also love my vintage home movie approach to videography.)
Couples who book my Polaroid wedding photography often:
- Want a hands-on, analog experience during the day
- Love the nostalgia and aesthetic of instant film
- Have a history of using Polaroids to mark life moments
- Want a one-of-a-kind physical filmy keepsake of the day
Polaroid Wedding Photography at the Alexandrian Hotel
One of my favorite full galleries of Polaroid wedding photography in action was at Brandy and Matt’s wedding in Old Town Alexandria. I documented their day on 35mm film, Super 8, camcorder, digital—and a stack of 40 Polaroids. By the end of the night, those Polaroids had turned into a little photo album they could actually flip through. The next morning, they didn’t have to ask, “Did that all really happen?” The proof was already in their hands.
