You don’t need a big venue to have a luxury wedding experience together. These two proved it with a courthouse ceremony and a downtown steakhouse dinner.
As a Minneapolis elopement photographer, I loved hearing that they stumbled on my Minneapolis City Hall elopement guide and had never seen courthouse photos like that before. That was all the inspiration they needed! Ahh my heart! 🙂

A Thursday Minneapolis City Hall Ceremony
They booked a 4:30 p.m. Thursday appointment at City Hall. They kept it small, with five of their closest people. We built in time to relax into portraits before their ceremony. Her best friend joined us for portraits, and it was great having a helping hand and a friend as we warmed up together. Plus, the building is huge. That extra time let us ease into portraits and explore such an expansive space. As family arrived, everyone had time to socialize and settle in. Then they said their vows in the historic rotunda.

A Celebration Dinner at Stock & Bond
After the vows, they wanted two things: a cute bar moment and a place to celebrate with their people. They also wanted somewhere that felt sophisticated, like the rest of their day. So we went hunting through downtown Minneapolis.
Stock & Bond checked every box with its luxurious Art Deco aesthetic. This upscale, modern American steakhouse and whiskey bar opened in July 2025, so it’s a fresh find at Sixth and Marquette. It’s a quick Uber ride from City Hall, and it lives inside the old Farmers & Mechanics Savings Bank. (Oh, and the original vault? It’s a wine cellar now.) The restaurant offers several private dining rooms as well as main dining room seating.
